There are several flights connecting the Andaman Islands to mainland India from major airports. There are both direct and connecting flights available from cities like Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Bangalore, Delhi, Mumbai etc to Port Blair. The Veer Savarkar International Airport in Port Blair is the only commercial airport of the Andaman Islands. The flight duration may vary depending on the departure city. On average, a direct flight from Chennai to Port Blair takes around 2 to 2.5 hours. Flights from Kolkata usually take around 2 hours, while flights from Hyderabad can take around 2.5 to 3 hours.
