    • Limestone Cave ----------------- The cave is formed by the erosion of limestone rocks over thousands of years. It is a natural marvel. A boat journey & also a trekking is needed to reach the cave.
    • Mud Volcano -------------- The volcano continuously releases gases and mud, creating small eruptions and bubble-like formations on the surface.
    • Baludera Beach ---------------- Baludera beach in Baratang is near to Mud Volcano, it is approximately 9 kms away from the Baratang jetty. It is a hidden gem.
    • Parrot Island ------------- Parrot Island is a small uninhabited island located near Baratang. It is famous for its vibrant and colourful parrots, which can be seen flying around the island.
    • North Button National Park -------------------------- North Button Island National Park is situated around 16 km away from the nearest town, Long Island. This island has a total area of about 0.2 Sq. Km.
    • South Button National Park ------------------------- Situated approximately 24 km southwest of Havelock Island, the South Button Island National Park is also known as India's smallest national park.

Baratang

Baratang Island is situated approximately 100 kilometers north of Port Blair, the capital city of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. It is accessible by both road and boat. The most common way to reach Baratang is by taking a road journey from Port Blair, which involves crossing the Andaman Trunk Road (ATR) and a vehicle ferry ride.

Baratang Island is famous for its mangrove forests, which are considered some of the best-preserved in the region. The journey to Baratang takes tourists through the Jarawa Tribal Reserve, where they can catch glimpses of the indigenous Jarawa tribe, who are protected by the Indian government.

North Button Island National Park

Established in 1979, North Button Island National Park is situated around 16 km south-east from the nearest town, Long Island. The ideal time to visit the park is from December to March. With an island area of about 0.2 Sq. Km, it is part of the Button islands. The park predominantly features deciduous (trees shedding its leaves annually) forest, and it falls within the warm and humid tropical zone. This national park is home to a diverse range of wildlife, including notable creatures like the dugong and the dolphin.

South Button Island National Park

Situated approximately 24 km southwest of Havelock Island, the South Button Island National Park can be reached by a motor boat journey lasting about two hours. It is part of the Rani Jhansi Marine National Park, along with its neighbouring national parks, North Button and Middle Button. Interestingly, it holds the distinction of being India’s smallest national park.

The island experiences significant rainfall during the south-westerly monsoon season, typically occurring between June and October. Consequently, the majority of visitors plan their trips to the park between December and April when the weather is more favourable.

A major highlight of this petite island is its shallow water coral reefs, known for their remarkable clarity. These tropical reefs can be found at depths as shallow as 6 feet, making the island a popular destination for adventure enthusiasts who enjoy snorkelling and scuba diving.
